Cairns Amateurs.
The Cairns Amateurs Racing Carnival is an annual event held around the
second Saturday in September. Cairns Amateurs has something for everyone
– horse racing, fashion, socializing and celebrities.
Festival Cairns.
25th August to 15th September
Over 40 events spanning music, sport, food and wine, art and free, family
entertainment is on offer during Festival Cairns.
Cairns Show.
16th, 17th and 18th of July
A blend of rural, agricultural, horticultural and metropolitan attractions
is what the Cairns show is all about.
Rusty's Markets
Rusty's Markets are located between Grafton and Sheridan streets. Running
for over 30 years Rusty's Markets are one of the largest and most successful
fresh produce markets in Australia. Rusty's Markets are open Friday,
Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 3 pm.
Cairns Night Markets
The Cairns Night Markets have become on of the cities most popular shopping,
eating and tourist destinations and are located at 71 to 75 Cairns Esplanade
and open nightly from 5pm.
The Cairns Esplanade Markets
The Cairns Esplanade Markets located by the Lagoon on the Cairns Esplanade
are held every Saturday from 8am to 5pm. The Esplanade Markets offer
a wide variety of local stalls offering, jewelry, local crafts, clothing,
gifts and so much more.
